Main findings

• The best method for LLL diagnosis has not yet been established.
• A specific scale for evaluation of LLL in gynecologic cancer patients is the Gynecologic Cancer Lymphedema Questionnaire (GCLQ).
• Majority of studies reporting the incidence of LLL after treatment of gynaecological cancer do not use both objective and subjective evaluation tools.
• The reported incidence ranges from 0-70%.
• Postoperative radiotherapy, obesity, high number of removed lymph nodes are risk factors
• It has been shown that preserving the circumflex iliac lymph node is a potential strategy to reduce the risk of developing LLL.
