The Level 2 Advanced Upper Limb Lymphoedema Course provides the practitioner with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning in the management of complex upper limb and chest wall lymphoedema.
Practitioners will bring to the course expertise and knowledge in various aspects of lymphoedema management. This course will utilise and expand upon this knowledge and skills to facilitate the learning experience and provide the practitioner with training to assess and treat complex upper limb and chest wall lymphoedemas.
Distance learning: starts 29 July 2020 (6 weeks prior to the face-to-face block)
Face-to-face dates block: Friday 11 September to Saturday 12 September 2020
Registration: Friday 11 September between 8.00 – 8.30 am
- Friday 11 September 8.00 am – 5.30 pm
- Saturday 12 September 8.00 am – 7.30 pm (includes laser forum with dinner)
Location: The Tudor, Box Hill
Cost: $900.00 inc GST
Prerequisites: This course is open to registered health professionals only (Division 1 Nurses, Medical Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists). Participants must have successfully completed a Level 1 (Basic) lymphoedema course or equivalent that meets the ALA Level 1 course guidelines (https://www.lymphoedema.org.au/the-register-updated/ala-recognised-courses/) and had a minimum of 1-year experience (half time) of treating clients with lymphoedema. Participants must have successfully completed a basic Coban 2 workshop. If the participant hasn’t completed a Coban 2 basic workshop go to 3M.com.au/Coban2 to find a workshop.
